Ben eagerly anticipates leveraging his skill set to guide students towards success in Maths and Science, laying a strong foundation for his GCSE journey. With an academic background rooted in science, he earned a degree in Materials Science from Imperial College.
Transitioning into teaching, he began as an English as a Foreign Language teacher in Vietnam and Japan, concluding as the deputy head of a large language center. Ben started his career as a Physics teacher in an international boarding school in the UK, holding various positions including boarding house master. His final UK role was as Head of Physics and Post-16 boarding house master, successfully supporting students amid the pandemic.
Ben arrived to Dubai two years ago with his family, including wife Kim and children Rhys and Esme, and they all embraced the city as their home. Believing in education's power to prepare for and surpass challenges, his goal is to cultivate resilience and success in GEMS Metropole School Al Waha students. Beyond the classroom, Ben enjoys nerdy pursuits and weightlifting at the gym.
