Daniella Aschettino

Daniella Aschettino, a dedicated educator, has been an integral part of the GEMS community for the past decade. Originally from the UK, Daniella's academic journey began with a degree in Psychology from the University of Sheffield. Her passion for education led her to pursue a Postgraduate degree in Educational Psychology at Cambridge University.
With over 17 years of teaching experience, Daniella has made significant contributions to various international British curriculum schools, starting from Hong Kong before settling in Dubai. Throughout her career, she has held diverse leadership roles, including responsibility for Teaching and Learning, Inclusion, Pastoral Care, Assessment, Safeguarding, and Staff Development. Currently pursuing a Doctorate at UCL's Institute of Education in London, Daniella's commitment to academic excellence is unwavering.
She firmly believes that every student possesses unique strengths and talents and strives to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered. Beyond her professional endeavors, Daniella finds solace and rejuvenation in practicing yoga. Her dedication to mindfulness and well-being extends beyond the classroom, reflecting her holistic approach to education.
Joining GEMS Metropole School, Al Waha as Secondary Headteacher, Daniella is excited to collaborate with students, staff, and parents to foster a culture of kindness, self-belief, and determination. She understands the importance of strong relationships with the school community in supporting students on their educational journey and is committed to creating an environment where every individual can thrive and reach their full potential.
