Lynsey joins GEMS Metropole School – Al Waha at a very exciting time of growth, witnessing a commitment and passion within the institution towards its journey to success. She is committed to becoming an integral part of this journey and supporting students, staff, and families to achieve high standards and success. Proud of her Scottish heritage, Lynsey's educational journey started with the attainment of a Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of Edinburgh.
Her teaching and leadership career initiated on the East Coast of Scotland prior to relocating to the UAE in 2014. She will be accompanied by her two boys, who eagerly anticipate attending the same school as their mother. As a family, they enjoy participating in various sports and activities. Lynsey's leadership qualities have flourished through diverse roles, including Head of Secondary, Vice Principal, Principal, Education Officer, and Global Curriculum Developer, providing her with invaluable experience across the education sector. She places high value on adult learning and has effectively guided numerous leaders through various certificated qualifications.
Embracing a holistic approach to student development, Lynsey firmly believes that learning and growth extend beyond academics, aligning fully with the school’s vision of “Nurturing Leadership”. She eagerly anticipates being an active contributor to a school environment that fosters growth, learning, and leadership among all members of its community.
